NADAL STRONG AGAINST ELITE
Rafael Nadal lost one match against a Top 10 opponent in the Emirates ATP Rankings through the first nine months. He lost three times to Novak Djokovic (Monte-Carlo, Beijing and Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, once to Juan Martin del Potro (Shanghai) and once to David Ferrer (Paris).

GASQUET PERFECT IN FINALS
Richard Gasquet won three ATP World Tour titles at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open (d. Davydenko), the Open Sud de France (d. Paire) and the Kremlin Cup by Bank of Moscow (d. Kukushkin) and a career-high 50 matches. He finished the season at the top Frenchman (at No. 9) for first time since 2007.

DONSKOY, ROBREDO AMONG IRONMEN
Evgeny Donskoy and Tommy Robredo both had perfect 3-0 records in fifth sets. Donskoy won fifth sets against Mikhail Youzhny in the Australian Open second round, on Davis Cup duty versus James Ward in April and against Peter Gojowcyzk in the US Open second round. Robredo won three straight fifth sets at Roland Garros against Igor Sijsling, Gael Monfils and Nicolas Almagro en route to the quarter-finals.
